Get to know Lindsey, Wild Tree Intern

Hello, my name is Lindsey Jalivay, and I am an intern at the Eagan Wild Tree location. I am currently studying to become a licensed therapist through UW-Superior, where I also completed my undergraduate studies in Interactive Media and a minor in Psychology.

Throughout my educational career, I grew a passion for helping children, which in turn led me to the counseling field. After witnessing the impacts therapy can have, I was motivated to enter the field in hopes of helping other children live a life full of success, happiness, and independence. Through my work at an elementary school in Superior, WI, and helping other children in need, I quickly realized how much therapy can change young minds and lead them to success for their futures. I continued to learn more about the functions of the brain and child development, along with learning more about myself, and entered a healing journey of my own.

As I prepare to graduate from my program in August, I have developed many goals that I feel can aid in the overall well-being of the children in our society and create a better environment for children to be successful and heal in their own ways. I have chosen to complete my internship through Wild Tree because I feel the practice allows clinicians to be their authentic selves. Wild Tree also understands that healing can look different for everyone, which allows clinicians to utilize different approaches that they see fit.
