Shelly Lehner
MA
Supervised Psychotherapist
St. Paul

Shelly (she/her) offers a welcoming space grounded in trust and connection. She works with individuals and couples navigating anxiety, trauma, grief, life transitions, and relationship challenges while providing clarity, support, and understanding.
With curiosity and care, Shelly collaborates with clients to make sense of experiences while offering insight and exploring patterns that may no longer serve them. She believes meaningful growth happens when people feel safe to show up just as they are —without judgment.
Her approach is strengths-based, trauma-informed, and deeply client-centered. She integrates cognitive-behavioral and dialectical behavior skills, mindfulness, guided imagery, and somatic awareness—tailoring approaches to align with each person’s unique needs. Rooted in psychodynamic therapy, Shelly also explores early experiences, attachment, and relational dynamics to support clarity and lasting change.
At the heart of her work is the belief that people are more than their symptoms, and that everyone deserves a space where they feel comfortable, yet challenged, supported, and valued.
Shelly is working toward her LPCC license in Minnesota and has a Masters in Counseling
and Psychological Services from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota.
