Ralph Simcox

Supervised Psychotherapist

I have extensive experience in counseling military members, their families, and other DOD employees as they navigate through personal challenges and/or family and work life issues.

The main goal of my work both personally and professionally is driven by the desire to help clients be their own solution makers. It’s about client empowerment, so each person can become the best version of themselves.

My background has led me to the Solution model of therapy, which is strength based, goal oriented, and resiliency focused. From this orientation, the therapist assists the client(s) in identifying problem(s) and/or change(s) they would like to see in their lives. Additionally, models such as Narrative, Experiential, and Contextual may also be used in client session to assist individuals who have experienced trauma, anxiety, stress, or difficulty in couple or family relationships, beyond a host of other issues that impact people’s lives. In client sessions, Ralph provides what Carl Rogers coined as ‘Unconditional Positive Regard’. This means that the utmost respect is given to each client unconditionally, no matter their age, race, nationality, or orientation.

If you need someone to walk beside you or your family while navigating life’s journey, then let’s take that next step together.
