Relational Psychotherapy has served as the foundation to Shelly’s practice for the past 30 years. She believes that a collaborative, empathic and supportive relationship with a therapist can serve as a model for future relationships and provides a safe space where specific past or current experiences, relationships, beliefs and emotions that are causing distress can be explored and addressed. Shelly is trained in Mindfulness-based Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Lifestyle Medicine. She uses a mind-body or integrative approach to treatment and works with clients to find the combination of practices or skills that will be most effective in bringing an improved state of health and wellness.
